Graceful Perseverance: Debra's Blog Cafe - 11/03

Welcome to this week’s blog. Today I am writing about my Sunday morning blogs - Blog Café, Graceful Perseverance, on my website - https://www.thewitnesstoday.com/blog-cafe.

My blogs are truly changing lives, one follower at a time. You don’t have to take my word for it, but see for yourself, years of blog comments (388,000 comments) dating back to 2010. Here’s what a select few readers say – listed at the end of this blog.

Why did I start blogging in 2010? I started blogging to share with my readers the evolution of my own learning and studying of the mystery of God in my faith walk. In my life, I have given God a million reasons not to love me, but not one of my sinful ways, bad choices or my former disobedient lifestyle has ever changed His mind. He is a forgiving God. He is a God of love. He keeps no record of my wrongs. He is a God who uses our weaknesses to draw us closer to Him.

As my relationship continues to grow deeper and deeper with the Lord, He continues to bless me with a staff for writing and blogging to not only help change the lives of others, but to also lead my readers to Christ, through the message of the gospel.

Why did God choose me to write to the masses? Because as a Christian, it is my Father in Heaven who instructs me, guides me and equips me with the gift of writing as a service to others. It was never my choice to become a writer and blogger. It is not me who is writing faith-based books and blogs each week. It is my Heavenly Father who is living in me and doing His work.

The words I say to you I do not speak on my

own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work – John 14:10.

Each day, I truly believe why God has beautifully added “one more day” to my life; not because I needed one more day for my selfish ways, but for others who need Him in their life. I am just the vessel (my writing) that is intended to pierce their heart. Let me tell you, for years God has put thousands of total strangers in my path, in hope to lead them to where they’re truly supposed to be, according to God’s plan, not their life plan. I love how God uses each and every one of us for His purpose.

We all fall, we all break. We all fail. But with Jesus, we rise. Through Christ, we heal and we can overcome this secular world. Jesus isn’t “A Way” to heaven. He is “The Way” to heaven. The people of this world who mock, scoff and pooh-pooh Him now, will surely beg Him for forgiveness on “The Day of the Lord” in end times, when Christ returns to take His children home. This will be a day, a great day the Lord will pour out His wrath in the world to those who rejected Him.

If you don’t believe what I am saying, you will find yourself left behind, for He will not acknowledge you as one of His children because you chose a life of hypocrisy toward Him, and disregarded His biblical instructions and warnings. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own site. – Isaiah 5:21 (NIV). In the book of Isaiah, Isaiah calls the people to turn from their lives of sin, and warned them of God’s judgment and punishment. History is repeating itself today.

Allen Hunt said it best regarding the importance of a relationship with Jesus - “The world and your circumstances will press in and seek to crush you, but a relationship with Jesus will grow a joy in you that cannot be squelched.”

As a Christian, I serve a God that has a purpose and a plan for my life. I serve a God that is greater and more powerful than my troubles. I serve a God that makes all things possible. I serve a Heavenly Father who loves me beyond my comprehension. I serve a God that replaces curses with blessings. I serve a God that has filled me with joy and peace beyond what anyone or any circumstance this world has to offer.

I know the perfect purpose of my life is to proclaim the mystery of Christ. The mystery is the good news of Christ’s salvation, the gospel. My personal evangelism (through my books and blogs) is to reach as many as I can explaining and proclaiming this wonderful mystery.

Don’t take my word for it, see how God’s work is changing lives – just a few comments from my readers. More on my website: https://www.thewitnesstoday.com/testimonials.

It is through the affirmation of my followers that I know I am doing the work of the Lord. I am simply doing precisely what the Lord needs me to be doing in my life. But don’t forget, my writing and blogging is not created by my own authority, rather it is the Father living in me, who is doing His work. All glory goes to the Father in heaven.

He has instructed me to;

Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. – Matthew 5:16 (NIV).

Blessings until next week,
