Graceful Perseverance: The World is Passing Away - 10/24/21

Welcome to this week’s blog. Today I am sharing with you what I receive freely as Biblical Truth; therefore, I give freely this Biblical Truth. Throughout scripture, we can find in the Old Testament, and the New Testament; testaments, prophecies, parables, psalms, and proverbs, and fulfilled prophecies that provide the world, and all of its societies, evidence that the world is truly passing away. 1 John 2:17 (NKJ) - 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

There will be a day when the towers, the buildings, sky scrapers, and all manmade structures will fall, and on that day the earth's crust will crumble and fall away. All of mankind, every nation and tribe will experience this day. Every religion, intellectual, rebel and moral will experience this day. The Biblical Truth is, we all live in a world that will pass away. The outcome of this Biblical Truth leaves us with three lingering questions:

  1. Then, what will be left of this earth?

  2. Who will be left on this earth?

  3. And, why is God so angry?

The "Day of the Lord" is the last generation and the fulfillment of Biblical Prophecy. In preparation of this day, all of us should have a heightened awareness and readiness that this day is the day God returns to this earth to gather His children to take them home. This horrific day, when the earth is destroyed, and the earth's crust will crumble, is prophesized throughout the Old Testament, and in the New Testament told to be fulfilled by the last generation.

Turn your Bibles to the last book of the New Testament, REVELATION to learn more. This day will be God's rejection and anger as a result of man's arrogance, selfish pride, self-dependence, ignorance, and obstinate behaviors. The Day of the Lord, the Lord will come from afar, with burning anger and dense clouds of smoke. His lips will be full of wrath and His tongue will be a consuming fire for those from every generation who have turned their backs on Him; the arrogant, the prideful, the self-dependent, the ignorant, the people who are snakes without being a snake. Therefore, we just answered all three questions above, all that will be left will be "He who does the Will of God."

In the Old Testament, we learn from Isaiah 30:25-28 (NKJ) the day of this great turbulence. Starting in verse 25, In the day of great slaughter, when the towers fall, streams of water will flow on every high mountain and every lofty hill. 26 The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the LORD binds up the bruises of his people and heals the wounds he inflicted. 27 See, the Name of the LORD comes from afar, with burning anger and dense clouds of smoke; his lips are full of wrath, and his tongue is a consuming fire. 28 His breath is like a rushing torrent, rising up to the neck. He shakes the nations in the sieve of destruction; he places in the jaws of the peoples a bit that leads them astray.

I think we can all agree, the world is filled with a "sea of people." There are multitudes of babies, children, adolescents, teenagers, young adults, and elderly men and women. And, in the midst of all of these people we find many who live in a different way because they have never met our Lord and Savior, our Creator, the Master of the Universe. Nor do these people have the faith/loyalty or desire to have a personal friendship/relationship with someone who they can trust and commit too, Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

  1. Iniquitous

  2. Corrupt

  3. Black-hearted

  4. Foolish

  5. Prideful

  6. Arrogant

  7. Exceedingly Precious to God

God tells us "Woe to the Obstinate Nation." The people listed above (1-6) are the people who God is angry with today, and He fully intends to reveal His anger when He returns. God is watching these people. These people are defining their own life plans, while at the same time, poo pooing, mocking and rejecting God's plans. These are the people who form alliances and coalitions against the Spirit of God. These are the people who are heaping with sin, and leading sinful lives with no remorse. These are the people who look to their own gods for protection, praise and worship. In Biblical Truth, God is telling them their actions in this life will be to their shame and disgrace because their gods will be useless to them in End Times, when God returns. These people are filled with vanity. They are empty, meaningless, and insignificant in their sin and rebellion. Why, because they chose a life of sin, and rejection of God in their lives. The Lord tells us in Ecclesiastes 11:10 (NKJ), 10 Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, And put away evil from your flesh, For childhood and youth are vanity.

Isaiah 30:1-5 - 1“Woe to the obstinate children,” declares the LORD, “to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin; 2 who go down to Egypt without consulting me; who look for help to Pharaoh’s protection, to Egypt’s shade for refuge. 3 But Pharaoh’s protection will be to your shame, Egypt’s shade will bring you disgrace. 4 Though they have officials in Zoan and their envoys have arrived in Hanes, 5 everyone will be put to shame because of a people useless to them, who bring neither help nor advantage, but only shame and disgrace.”

And then there are the others, number seven in the list above, "Exceedingly Precious to God."

1 John 3:2 (NKJ) - 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

Trust me, if you find yourself in this list of people, you will know it. You already know in order to succeed in this life, you are a changed person who has a personal relationship with God. You already know you are not who you use to be. You already know you live a different life than mainstream. You already know that things of this world do not impress you any longer. You already know you have the following four key values in your life because God is in your life. You already know that God is not interested in your flesh, but God wants your soul. You already know you are a changed person, because you let God into your life. You already know that your sins have been forgiven by the only one that matters, God. You already know you have been blessed beyond measure; therefore, God will never let you go. You know by now you a child of God, and He will shield you from the evils of this world. You already know the world is passing away, and the Day of the Lord is upon us.

  1. Loyalty and Faith in the Word of God

  2. Friendship with Jesus Christ

  3. Commitment to Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior

  4. Success in this life because of Jesus' Plan

Exceedingly precious children of God experience God's grace and mercy. Proverbs 4:20-24 (NKJ) - confirms our loyalty and commitment to His promises, 20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. 23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. 24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you.

So, Loyalty comes by Faith in the Lord. Romans 10:17 (NKJ) - 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

And, Friendship and Commitment to the Lord is the result of a successful life here on earth until the last generation sees the Day of the Lord. And as an exceedingly precious child of God, you already know when He returns to take His exceedingly precious children home, you will spend eternity with the Lord.

Blessings until next week,
